The human heart contains an unquenchable thirst for beauty. I’m drawn to it and astonished by it. Beauty stuns and surprises and lifts me upward. Beauty opens my eyes to the majesty of God. It becomes a stark contrast to my brokenness and imperfection. The reality of this contrast causes me to yearn even more for God’s glory. I need beauty because I need God.
