WHAT IS SUCCESS?

To laugh often and love much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the approval of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty;

To find the best in others;

To give of one's self;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;

To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived...

This it to have succeeded.

Forum on Risking Faith

Day 1
Trust is only authentic when it is tested and tried. We're standing on the edge with our toes hanging over. If we truly want to experience this thing called faith, we have no choice but to jump. Yet this freaks me out. Even if I'm ready, I'm not sure when or where or how to do this. I guess I need to stop thinking about it and just jump.

Ordinary faith isn't really faith. Believing in fact is safe pseudo faith. Life on the edge may not be 40 days in the desert but it will be running to Jesus every day. Lets face it, almost every day we run into something that stirs a little fear or anxiety in us. Why not run to our savior with it? He said we could. And His perfect love casts out fear. Maybe the edge is where we need to depend on Jesus.
